Chinese restaurants in the United States range from steam-table lunch counters to white-tablecloth Cantonese seafood halls, and most fall somewhere in between: a laminated menu, a lunch special board, and combo plates priced a few dollars below the dinner menu. Ordering by number off the menu is normal and speeds things up, especially at takeout counters. Family-style ordering, where a table shares several dishes with rice rather than each person getting an individual entree, is standard at sit-down spots and usually cheaper per person. Many neighborhood restaurants are cash-preferred or charge a small card fee, so it is worth asking or checking the door before you order. Delivery apps cover most areas, but calling the restaurant directly is often faster and avoids the markup.

The business lists hours on 1 day of the week. The most common schedule is 10:30 AM–9 PM. It is closed on Tuesday. New York is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around New York is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across New York's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Chicken leg rice is a humble dish that delivers a deeply comforting and hearty experience notably Taiwanese. The chicken leg is marinated and fried until the skins nice crispy while the meat stays tender with every bite. If you are craving something satisfying and flavorful, this chicken leg dish just what you want. This place serves one of the best chicken leg rice in the city. Cheers!

The pork chop is juicy and flavorful. No frills quick service with large portions. You are getting your money worth here!

Exactly what you expect- excellent food for cheap that tastes just like home! The pork and chicken are amazing, though the fried taro isn’t the usual fried taro dumpling. And only takes Zelle or cash, as per usual

We only tried the herbal jelly sweets in both cold and hot styles. The sweets have plenty of ingredients and in generous portions. However, the presentation of both dishes are not appetizing at all. The worst part is that the herbal jelly looks like a batch of paste, thick , sticky even for the the cold version. I don't feel that they put enough attention to the quality of the food. That was our first and last time to spend at this place.

Taiwan Pork Chop House, tucked away on Doyers Street in Chinatown, offers a straightforward dining experience that caters to those seeking authentic Taiwanese street food. Food: The menu features classic Taiwanese dishes such as pork chop over rice, fried rice cakes, and wontons in chili oil. While the pork chop is tender and flavorful, some dishes may lack the depth of flavor found in other establishments. The fried rice cakes and wontons are popular choices among patrons. οΏΌ Atmosphere: The setting is modest, with a no-frills approach that emphasizes function over ambiance. It’s a casual spot suitable for a quick meal rather than a leisurely dining experience. οΏΌ Service: Service is efficient, with staff ensuring that orders are processed swiftly. However, the fast-paced environment may not lend itself to personalized service. οΏΌ Overall: For those in the area craving Taiwanese comfort food at reasonable prices, Taiwan Pork Chop House is a solid choice. While it may not offer the most refined dining experience, it delivers on authenticity and value.
